What a great story! I loved the characters! I loved getting the different point of views! I can't wait for more from the author!
Okay... so, I have to start off with how I LOVE discovering new talent via the Unlimited program... and this author was definitely worth my money per month.
I have to agree with the reviewer before me. The story was a bit long... but, it was still extremely enjoyable. There were some grammatical issues here and there, but nothing that detracted me from the overall story.
With that being said... I truly loved loved LOVED the characters and Brinlee is definitely a firecracker. She is a troubled teen with a past associated with loss that you can literally feel as if you stepped into the character's skin. I enjoyed becoming her when it was written in her point of view.
I also enjoyed that we got glimpses into the heads of the other characters. I love stories that offer this. But for the most part, this story was from Brinlee's POV.
Character development was definitely there... and you will find yourself falling in love with ALL the characters... especially Carter! He's the underdog in all of this. However, Wes and Lee are the two main male characters that will have you torn by the end of the book.
The overall message that this book offers is perfect for young teens looking for a CLEAN love story. Although this book is about a young woman's journey in discovering Christ's love as well as the love of a young man, I can't help but believe this story is for ALL readers.
I really enjoyed the story... especially the journey!
I look forward to the next book.
I enjoyed the story but at the end it just quit. I'm sure that's designed to make you buy the next book but I hate it when there's no real ending. Not going to buy the next book because it will probably just do the same thing. Disappointing.
I thought this was a well written, accurate view of Christian living. It's a clean book with multiple points of view which I love. A bit long and needs better editing but a great story.
