I loved the storyline of Mary Ann as Anna Clause trying to bring back the spirit of Christmas which is not about what you receive but what you can give. However, I have read this whole series starting with A Dog Named Christmas. For me, this book just seems to break too much away from Todd's character as he started. That may work for some readers that haven't read all the books but for me it seemed like Mr. Kincaid was trying too hard to streamline and make Todd just like everyone. The first book which made me have a real heart for Todd showed a very different character. Overall, I'm glad I read the book at Christmas as it is a feel good story but I don't think it is as good as others in this series. It is a good stand alone read or book for dog lovers.

I have all of his books. This one was a great story for Christmas Time. Had a happy ending which I loved.

I simply had to read "Noelle", since I had enjoyed "A Dog Named Christmas" so much. It was long after Christmas when I read both books, but I find myself in the spirit all over again. Greg Kincaid's writing is superb and the stories endearingly human (and doggie). I fell so in love with the town and the characters, I'm hoping the author will revisit it and take his readers along for more.
I really enjoyed reading this book, the author is a great story teller. I was a little confused about the first chapters. It describes in detail about the puppy mill, at first I didn’t realize Elle was the puppy that got away. What happened to her mother? I thought the story would go back to the puppy mill & that terrible operator of the mill would be brought up on charges & the mill shut down. Anyway it still was a very beautiful story that had a sweet ending.
I began with A Dog Named Christmas after I watched the Hallmark movie. That movie was so well done - it had to be their crown series. I found the book afterward and fell in love all over again. I think it the book Christmas is a black Labrador - in the movie he's a yellow. Having had both colors in my life since 1986, I am partial to both. I have a 13.5 year old black lying next to me now. Each successive story features other dogs and carries the main characters forward in their lives. I love EVERY book in this series.
